Meet the Dentists
Dr. Colleen Peleaux
Colleen Peleaux graduated with honors from the University of North Carolina School of Dentistry in 1993. She went on to complete a residency in Advanced General Dentistry at the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill. She dedicates herself to delivering compassionate care and providing excellence in treatment. She developed her passion for dentistry while working as a dental hygienist and went on to continue her education to become a dentist so that she could further help every patient achieve and maintain healthy teeth and gums.
Colleen shares her interest for dentistry with her husband, Ramon Peleaux, an oral surgeon who also practices in Charlotte. Together they have two sons, Evan and Ryan. In her spare time, she enjoys gardening, reading and photography.
Dr. Darragh Bailey
Darragh Bailey graduated from the University of Tennessee Dental School in 1989. She has practiced in Charlottesville, Virginia and Winston Salem, North Carolina before moving to Charlotte with her family. She is dedicated to her patients and has a passion to deliver excellence in dentistry and believes it is a great honor to practice in Charlotte. Her call to dentistry came early when as a child she required extensive dental work. She felt comfortable with her dentist and she knew from age five what she wanted to be when she grew up. After graduating from dental school, she visited her childhood dentist to tell him that he was the reason she chose to go into the profession. "It was a great feeling for both of us."
Darragh spends her time outside the office with her husband, Russ Bailey and their two children, David and Erin. She is active in her church and enjoys camping, hiking and reading.
Meet the Team
Kristi
Practice Manager
I developed a passion for helping others at an early age and knew that the healthcare field was the direction I would take after high school. After high school I completed the Medical Assisting program at Central Piedmont Community College. Through the years I realized how vitally important proper healthcare management is in the overall accounting, patient and employee experience. I decided to continue my education and graduated from Pfeiffer University with a Bachelor of Science degree in HealthCare Management in 2004. I have been with Drs. Peleaux & Bailey since March 2003. Leading others and guiding them in exceptional patient care is very important to me. I value the mission and vision Drs. Peleaux & Bailey have for our patients and employees. I truly feel blessed everyday to call this place home!
I spend my time outside the office with my husband, Jody and our son, Jake. Family is very important to us and we are fortunate to have our family close by. When not working I enjoy reading, baking and spending time with our family.
Mackie
Registered Dental Hygienist
Hygiene Patient Coordinator
I became interested in becoming a dental hygienist when I was in high school. In my free afternoons and during the summer I started working in a local dental practice. Sometimes I assisted the dentist, other times I assisted the front office. It was a great experience and I knew that continuing my education within the dental field was what I wanted to do. Upon graduating high school in 1972—I entered the dental hygiene program at Central Piedmont Community College. I started working as a dental hygienist for Drs. Peleaux & Bailey in 1998. In 2005, after working as a dental hygienist for thirty one years, I moved to the front office and became the hygiene patient coordinator.
I have been married for thirty two years, and have one grown son, who lives in Raleigh, one dog and one cat! I love to scrapbook, make cards, jewelry, and play duplicate bridge!
Kathy
Dental Assistant
Doctor Patient Coordinator
I am completely intrigued with dentistry and very much enjoy helping people take care of their teeth. I chose after twenty five years in Corporate America to change my career path and went back to school to become a dental assistant. I graduated from Central Piedmont Community College Dental Assisting Program in 2005. God blessed me with a position at Drs. Peleaux & Bailey and I have never looked back. I worked as a dental assistant for four years. In 2009, a long time employee retired and a position became available in the front office. I transferred to the front office and enjoy the versatility of working both as a Doctor Patient Coordinator and as a Dental Assistant as needed.
I enjoy tennis, golfing and boating.
Ana

I have had the opportunity to serve my community as a dental assistant since 1992. I moved from Queens, New York in 1995, and was asked to join the team of Drs. Peleaux & Bailey. I am bilingual- fluent in both English and Spanish, and enjoy helping people achieve and show off their beautiful healthy smiles. My passion is to help my patients feel comfortable and confident through out their treatment process. I take great pride in creating beautiful temporary crowns for my patients.
I have been married for eighteen years. My husband and I enjoy working together as a team at home, in our house of worship and in our community. Some of my hobbies include camping, reading, teaching and dancing.

Bobbi
Dental Hygienist
I grew up in the southern suburbs of Chicago, where I worked as a dental assistant for five years before moving to Charlotte in 1993. I attended Central Piedmont Community College Dental Hygiene Program, graduating in 1998. I aspire to provide thorough, but gentle care to patients, while educating them about the importance of oral health. I was committed to finding a practice that shared that aspiration and I definitely found that at this practice. I have worked for Drs. Peleaux & Bailey since August 2000. Our patients are like family to us and our care reflects it.
When not at work, I enjoy scrap booking, reading and spending time with family. I have two lovely daughters, Kelsey and Katie.

Donna
Dental Hygienist
Emergency Medical Technician
I had a great relationship with my childhood dentist who later became a mentor to me. During my latter years as a patient of his practice, he would often use me to help calm his anxious patients and he taught me how to assist him with treatments. After attending University of North Carolina—Asheville, I returned home to work as a communications specialist. In 1984, I enrolled in Central Piedmont Community College Dental Hygiene School, where I met the founder of this practice. Twenty one years after joining the practice, I am still “hooked on” dentistry and know that I am blessed for having such genuinely wonderful people to work with! We truly enjoy interacting with and taking care of our patients. It makes my heart happy to see so many people who had their first dental checkups in our practice when they were young children, now bringing their spouses and children to our practice for their dental care.
Outside of the office I enjoy spending time with my son, Kevin, daughter-in-law Petia, and grandson, Kevin Michael. I also enjoy teaching cardiopulmonary resuscitation—emergency response courses, making all occasion cards, calligraphy and helping in the community.
Becky
Dental Hygienist
I have worked in dentistry for over thirty years, first as a dental assistant then I attended Central Piedmont Community College and received my Dental Hygiene degree in 1998. I volunteer for Give Kids a Smile, as well as the Matthews Health Center Dental Bus. Working for Drs. Peleaux & Bailey has been an enjoyable part of my career. The professional environment at our office makes going to work fun and caring for our great patients is rewarding.
I was born and raised in Massachusetts. I have lived in Charlotte since 1983. I am married and have two grown sons.
Laurie
Dental Hygienist
I grew up helping my grandfather in his dental office in the heart of New York City. I knew without question that I would become a dental hygienist—it was a natural progression. My great aunt, my mother, and later my sister were all hygienists. I went to the original School of Dental Hygiene, Fones, at the University of Bridgeport, where the profession began with Dr. Fones in 1949. I have practiced for almost twenty years and continue to love working with people. I hope that my enthusiasm for overall good health and nutrition influence my patients everyday. I share with each of my patients the latest information and try to help them understand why home care matters to more than teeth and gums.
When not working in the dental office, I am with Gracie, the dog I recently rescued, exercising, or reading anything and everything.
